Holed Me Whole is a song and music video produced in the bathroom of my parents’ home, the home where I grew up. Created during a winter-break visit in 2018, in the midst of ‘coming out’ and grappling with various parts of myself, the song is a celebration of joy in an expanse of trauma, a safer space within a home that didn’t feel so. holed me whole was released on Instagram with the following caption:
'This winter break was the roughest ever, and I want to take this moment to thank you all for lending an ear, sometimes a tongue, but always your hearts to my struggles. Know that I am always holding space for you if you ever need it. I really appreciate you all and am dedicating this song + music video I made while at home in Kolkata, in my bathroom, the only space I felt remotely safe in, to you. I’ve tried to hold myself, but maybe if you held me too, I (we) could finally holed me (us) whole. 💜'
