Description: dear kuzu… was A durational weeklong performance wherein I attempted to grow the kudzu vine (an invasive species) in a structure that allowed my foot and the plant to share the same space. Daily letters were written, lullabies were sung, and pictures were taken of the plant and myself every hour for the duration of the performance, as means to document the piece. The work raises questions about human-plant relationships, what it means to be invasive as both plant and immigrant, and the limits of co-habitation.
